Ah, yes, D&D leads people into witchcraft and the "dark side". What about fantasy books? I grew interested in spells because of the nice fantasy books in libraries.

Strange, the Bible might actually classify as a fantasy... Angels, gods, and miracles, oh my.

Wow. That's so inaccurate and prejudiced that it's just...wow. And there was an outcry against fantasy--people were afraid their kids would turn to Satan thanks to Harry Potter. It's a slippery slope, from an kids' book where the main characters use their magic to FIGHT that version of the devil to worship of the real devil. If Harry Potter didn't have magic powers he'd be dead and he'd probably be pretty pissed off about that, so it's probably a good thing he's a wizard.

And yeah, spells started with fantasy books for me too so maybe the anti-Harry Potter people sort of have a point in that fantasy leads to spells. Their gross misinterpretation of what spells are, though, kind of invalidates the fact that for some people they might have traced it to the correct source. And D&D is a fantasy story too, just more interactive than books, so maybe they're right. That doesn't mean I'm cutting them any slack for being ignorant, though. People fear what they don't understand, so maybe if they tried understanding instead of fearing then we'd get something accomplished.

That particular strip is especially horrible.

what say you about boycotting them? not like we could, as we don't ever buy their products anyway, but still.
