ibnekoAt 10pm Pacific time (UTC/GMT -8) we will be disabling all media uploads on www.livejournal.com and pics.livejournal.com. This means that you will be unable to add any additional userpics, make voice posts, or upload images to your ScrapBook. You will also be unable to make purchases from the Gift Shop or manage Recurring Billing this evening. Soon after, some journals will be placed in read only mode as we prepare to switch traffic from Seattle to San Francisco.

This evening we will be flipping the switch to direct all traffic to our San Francisco data center. The work will begin shortly before 10pm Pacific Time (UTC/GMT -8) and will last for 2 hours, stretching into the morning of Saturday, November 19th. During this time whole or parts of the site may be inaccessible to users. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you or your friends tonight, but are working as hard as possible to make this downtime as brief as possible.
We will be updating this status page with the latest information about the move and downtime this evening. You can also follow the move "play by play" in our move blog at http://ljmove.blogs.com.
