Just discovered my camera's more advanced options (pro-style like white balancing, rapid pic taking, 16 pictures on one image (like those photobooth thingies!)) o.O and in a search for a manual to tell me more, I discovered their CD supported MacOS X. You know how rare that is? O.o and we got this camera, what... a year+ ago? Yes, MacOS X has been out for much longer than that, but most companies still don't have MacOS X support on their product CDs. Or they didn't, a year ago. ::impressed::

Yes, so camera fun, wheeee~

My only complaint is that their flash site for the coolpix cameras is crappy and unresponsive on Safari. I want to get to the damn Manual, sheesh... Just... click... for... me...

shit.

shitshitshitshitshit..

Ran the Nikon installer for MacOS X and somehow it managed to DELETE MY ENTIRE LIBRARY folder. Now, for those of you who aren't MacOS X savy, that's where all the preferences are kept. That includes Safari Bookmarks, All The Mail That I Had, Adium (AIM) buddy list, Address Book, and a shitload of preferences.

The thing that irritates me most is the mail. If I can't recover that, I'd be left with the past 1 week of mail on my comcast account, and nothing from what I've sent, recieved, etc. That, to me, is a VERY BAD THING.

::scowls:: Yes, I'm using cap, but I'm too upset to care. Running Norton UnErase, but the only thing I've been able to find and recover is Safari's preferences and bookmarks. Still haven't found my mailboxes.

Damn Nikon installer. Damn damn damn damn damn.

And I have a physics test tomorrow, so I can't spend all night here trying to get things back. But I need to. I want to check my mail, goddamnit.

And the other thing about recovering files- Each little change to the hard disk means a smaller chance of recovering all the data that was deleted. That was at least 800MB, given that my hard disk space jumped up approx. 800, if not more, after I noticed something was really wrong and decided on rebooting.

Oh, don't expect me on AIM for a while.
