My vision's pulsing red once every two seconds... wtf? It's not... distinctly red, but just slight, as as if someone was adding a slight red tint to the light, just slightly, then taking it away again, leaving things more blue than red.

Am suspecting either,
a) something wrong with me.
or
b) a bizarre combination of wavelengths at this point - 'cause the light above me is broken

...I don't think it's b. o.O

I've always noticed that one eye seems to make things appear more blue than red, and the other, more red. I don't know why.

...this scares me a bit. Well, at least I'm not firing lasers from my eyes... so it can't be that.

right, back to homework. After I get a bit of water.

So I got dressed - not all that well, a light blue shirt, dark blue tie with red lines running across it, and the light colored pants, along with the sports jacket-esque thing.

The apple guy was nice, more or less. Apparently an engineer, and not a manager, so he said my resume would be forwarded to the managers for them to decide if they need someone with my skills.

"If you get a job at apple, you won't need to wear a tie again. We don't do that sort of thing here."

Odd questions asked includes:
1) Make a class with the first animal you think of. (This was rather icky - I don't know if I did what he was looking for. I made a class with a default contructor, a values contructor, and methods including moveCat, dyeFur, and incrementAge)
2) How many barbers do you think there are in america? (This one ended up needing some prompting from him to get me going in a better direction. I started off with number of towns in america, then dividing that number by a random number of barber to people ratio. But he suggested working with the number of people who needed a haircut, amount of time it took to do a haircut, and the number of time the barber's have.)

Normal questions included:
- What classes are you taking right now?
- Tell me about your jobs (Krannert, and random programming projects...)
- So you've used mac: which ones? (PowerPC, dual processor G4, iBook G4)

The whole interview was relatively informal... at least, there was no icky grilling.

--

I was a bit surprised though - there was less about technical stuff - and the job catagory I was interviewing for was Hardware Engineer: specifically, Systems Test. Although he noted that there's programming everywhere - so scripting skills was good.

This is delightfully... interesting.

I love how this meal says "Turkey Meal", and underneath, in just slightly smaller letters, "Mostly White Meat"..

and then, "Turkey (Mostly White Meat)"

Should I worry 'bout what...I'm eating? o.O Mostly white meat.

I need to start studying, obviously.

But... Whee~ macworld's offering renewal at $12 for a year. ::quibblyglee:: a dollar a magazine~

Yes, that wasn't important. Yes, I have increased sugar right now (doublestuffed oreos~ whee! Time to go and brush my teeth again.) And yes, I need to shut up and start studying.

I think I spelled quibblyglee wrong. Hrm...

Ben (5:13:59 PM): eh, it was the usually christmas music.
stuff 'bout Santa making a list of good and bad people, and peeking into people's lives (the PERV! >.> I bet he watches little boys while they shower...) and deciding if they're good or bad.
Oneesama (5:14:56 PM): >_<;;
why must every child-oriented song/game/movie be capable of being interpretted with perverted undertones?!
Ben (5:16:06 PM): :: blinks:: that's not true.
Ben (5:16:55 PM): "I'm a little teapot" can't be perverted...
I don't think..
Oneesama (5:17:39 PM): [...] i'm a little teapot? ....could be, if you work at it... >_<
Ben (5:17:56 PM): ...
hm.
Ben (5:18:47 PM): :: shakes his head:: what about... erm... >.> <.< "London bridge is falling down"?
can't perv-alize a bridge falling, can you?
Oneesama (5:20:05 PM): honestly, i don't want to try and "perv-alize" anything else consciously (awesome new word, btw ;) )

(slightly edited to remove other, non-point discussion topics)

So~ question to you all:
Is it true that all child-oriented songs/games/movies are capable of being interpretted with perverted undertones?

And also: Is it possible to pervert "London bridge is falling down"?

Some other mirrors of the PearLyrics dmg found at [livejournal.com profile] jwz's post here.

To quote off the developer's page:
pearLyrics is (or should I say was) a Mac OS X tool for displaying song lyrics of the track currently played in iTunes. Song lyrics are fetched either directly from the music file via iTunes, from text files in a local directory, or are searched and fetched from publicly available websites. For faster access next time it provides an option to cache found lyrics from the Internet locally (depending on the users choice either as a text file in an Application Support folder or directly in iTunes).

What happened?
Warner/Chappell Music Limited issued a C&D letter (Cease and desist), and since the developer didn't have the time or money for a lawsuit (or didn't want to face the complexities), he pulled it from his site.

The fact that said company did this, and also, apparently has not responded to the developer's mails annoys me immensely. When you don't respond, that crosses the line from honestly wanting it to be stopped, to the same thing as spam bots. Harvest contact information based on a certain criteria, then use that to fire off annoying crap.

Therefore, I'll be putting this up, in several places:

Oh, and Claudia Witting? Walter Ritter of pearworks wants the following passed onto you: Hey, if you ever happen to meet her, could you just tell her that something in my heart needs her more than even clowns need the laughter of the crowd? [ source | PearLyric's ReadMe.rtf file ]
