Spamalot was awesome.
Jun. 14th, 2009 01:17 amI won the lottery for $25 seats. Unfortunately, they're not front row seats like Wicked was in NYC, but orchestra wing seats (N32 was my seat). So I definitely missed out on some of the action. Sad.
But it was awesome. If you're a fan of Monty Python, you have to see it.
Also, I think I need to:
1) Make sure the girlfriend watches enough Monty Python to get all the references.
2) Look up the lyrics. There were some things that I couldn't make out, but suspect were very funny.
Honestly, I think to get the most enjoyment out of Spamalot, one needs to have seen Life of Brian and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. And some of the more popular sketches. There were so many little one-line references.
Also, Tim the Enchanter was awesome. As was the bunny.
But it was awesome. If you're a fan of Monty Python, you have to see it.
