Today's show was weak. Poor Seth was energyless, and people's voices were all screwed up. We had techie troubles as well... row lights shutting down, extension cords dangling. Sound seemed to have problems with levels (or perhaps those were technical issues).
But what really, really annoyed (or, perhaps, pissed me off) today was Mr. Goldman's use of feedback to shut the actors up. That is fucking unacceptable. Feedback is not a tool for you to use to make people shut up. "It is at best, annoying, and at worst, damaging to both ears and equipment." [ source ]
Mmm, the question now is what to do about it. I'm tempted to yell down from the booth (or use the god mic) next time he does that... Of course, not saying his name, but targeted at sound in general. Maybe "SOUND GUYS, IF I HEAR FEEDBACK ONE MORE TIME, I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR BALLS OFF." Or maybe printing out a large, multipage poster that says "FEEDBACK IS BAD!". Something along the lines of the "SEXUAL HARASSMENT IS ALLOWED AND ENCOURAGED" poster in the booth (probably got the wording wrong, whatever.)

Sadly "castration" was too long, so I couldn't use that on the poster...
Now just to find the time to put it up. I'd rather not be seen by people, but... ::shrugs::
Open to suggestions on rewording it though.. just get back to me sometime before 1 or something..
