Now, to kick off the summer properly, we're starting with a 24 hour permanent account sale. Well, it's good that they can't sell our livejournals to others... but... sell it back to us..? Like.. holding it hostage...? O.o

::sighs:: Should I get a permanent account? It's... 6 years of paid accountage... and damn expensive. I really want to though, 'cause I foresee continuing to use LJ for a while, to log what goes on in my life, and to keep in touch with people.

I'm extremely weary of the possibility that dividends get high enough that it's more profitable to make lj an entirely pay-based service...luckily, most of my lj content is archived in my gmail account, so they can't keep it from me.

If it gets entirely pay-based, we'll move. There's more than enough livejournal clones elsewhere. Hell, you can run your own, once you get your linux box up and running... I'll help, if you want, 'cause I've installed livejournal on MacOS X before..
