Apparently, LiveJournal has now implemented, and put into play, a new option/command/action/ability/whatnot called Nudge.
You'll find it here: http://www.livejournal.com/friends/nudge.bml
Although that only lists the people who haven't updated in the past week. Or for a week or more, rather.
Huh, rather, make that, you can't nudge people who have updated at least a week ago.
The interesting side effect of this is that with this ability, you can check to see if people have been posting friends only, and not letting you see their posts. Granted, there is no way around this, unless they disable the week limit checking..

Date: 2006-01-18 10:31 am (UTC)You're right, this is interesting. However, it has always been possible to see whether someone has posted something you couldn't see. Not only in the last week, but the exact dates over the entire history of their journal.
How, you ask? Okay, example: find a friends only journal. Then, look at their calendar. For instance (just because I searched for "Friends only" and found this first) Calendar view. You have dates and post count.
