I recommend that EVERYONE pick up a copy of "Genome" by Matt Ridley.

"It is becoming increasingly clear that sexual orientation correlates with birth order." (at least in males) [insert complicated genetic explanation here]
(I'm sure there were other quotes referencing sexuality, in specific one that actually stated that changing a certain gene in fruit flies actually made them gay. I just can't find it now that I'm looking, of course.)
