Bird! Made of ribbons~

Not bad. Took me about... probably an hour to two hours to finish it. It's rather pretty, actually. The original design [6 - see the original paper copy I built at someone else's house] called for a larger ribbon to be slit into parts, but leaving a joined section for the wing. Since the ribbon I picked up wasn't big enough to slit at all, I had to use binder clips (err, I think that's what they're called...) to hold it together until I could get enough weaved together.

There's also a fish I want to build, but... it calls for ribbon of nearly double the thickness. Or I'll have to get creative about the design. I can probably do it, shouldn't be too hard.

Heh. It's actually easier than it looks... Errr, unless one has issues with looking and taking apart 3D objects... If I get bored enough, I'll post instructions (or make another, and take pictures as I go) or something and you can make one of your own.

Oh, that is cute! There's a world of possibilities, one would think, with various widths and patterns of ribbon. Maybe even leather strips, if there's something like a Tandy left around.

Heh. Yeah... one could make one really big bird, big enough to fit a person in... mmm... and if I knew the proper runes and spells, maybe a cheaper airplane could be had. If there's still enough magic in the world.

Leather strips? O.o Might be kinda hard to manipulate. Not to mention somewhat kinky. And slightly odd. Leather birds?
