Yay, I officially proclaim this the beta version. It's crappy, hell yeah, and still needs so much work, but Palmer needs to be read.

Now, I've got to decide what to do with this journal... I did pay $5 for it after all, although I hope most of it goes to support the programmers of the livejournal code... May their deity bless them. Maybe it should be a humor area...

This journal is best viewed with Safari. Can't figure out for the life of me why those stupid white patches appear in the menu (see right ---->) when I click out of IE or when I move between the links too fast. Anyone else know the reason?

Need to start adding friends....

MSN Explorer sort of messes up your sidebar by making it all white except on mouseover, but Opera (Windows!  Windows!) displays it nicely... good job!

I didn't read all of your code, but based on that I'd say the problem is the transparency, since I know IE and Opera do transparency quite differently... funny, usually the problem is some illegally recognized transparency in MSN or IE while valid CSS browsers won't recognize it at all...

Bah, I'd ignore it if I were you.

I dunno, you can add a static background as long as it's not Daniel Radcliffe.  I know someone who has one of those on her livejournal and it scared the hell outta me the first time it suddenly loaded on my screen... my goodness, I think I fell off my chair.
