"You'll be glad to know that JSON has exactly two boolean values, and that they are true and false. If it had exactly zero boolean values, it wouldn't be a data format."

Mwahahahaha.

Ok, I think I like JSON more than XML. Would AJAX still be AJAX if I use JSON instead of XML....?

I still call it ajax because people would be confused if you said ajaj! I've actually only used xml in one case but almost for everything else I do I just json. It's just so much more convenient. (In my mind) all that matters though is that you have good serializing and deserializing libraries in every language you wish to communicate with. I couldn't find a good XML one, but json was a snap, I have some php code that serializes php objects so you work with them is JS or PHP almost identically, it's great!

It _is_ so much more convenient! While XML is ([edit]slightly, sometimes) easier to read, JSON is a HELL lot easier to quickly parse (if at all - I think I'm running it through someone else's parser/cleaner just to be on the safer side..) and use.

Plus, "A Jaj" sounds odd...

I've used MooTools in the past as a supplementary library, what do you use?

Right now, I'm just coding the browser side, and it's really more of a lets-throw-this-together-to-see-what-I-can-make (want to make a spiffy tag cloud system) state right now, so I'm just using the parser at the bottom of http://www.JSON.org/js.html.

And Ooooh, MooTools looks interesting.

(yeah, I'm not really a browser/javascript programmer at all. So I don't really know what's out there... still, am slowly learning~)

I've learned I really like a bunch of functionality and shortcuts provided by MooTools. Plus they make it really easy to make snazzy animations! What's the tag cloud thing about?

This helps me mucho: http://clientside.cnet.com/wiki/mootorial
Though it's currently out of date as to the newest version of the library.
