Quantum of Solace was the title of one of the few Fleming Bond stories that hasn't been adapted yet (the other one is the Hildebrandt Rarity, I believe).

In the original story, Quantum of Solace referred to the smallest measure of hope that someone could cling to before giving up and succumbing to catastrophe. It was a very good story; Bond's role in it was actually just to frame the start and end, though.
