I really get tired of articles like this -- because it's not the only one I've read. I've never heard anyone at RM pull that superiority act, at least not to a greater extent than any other school I've attended; maybe I'm sheltered, but there it is. I don't understand why there's this need to absolutely shred everything about the IB program among some people. Yeah, it can be insular. Here's a news flash, Mr. Magahern: so is every other human group on the face of the Earth. And frankly, if insularity is inevitable anyway, there are worse things to be insular about.

That's my rant for the night. I agree, he's a moron, and he could do with having some of his preconceptions shattered -- both about IB students and students out in the terrible "classically superficial, popularity-based version of high school" bullshit bullshit BULLSHIT.
