ibnekoWho am I kidding? Japanese isn't going to be any easier than Spanish, just because I watch so much anime! ::has just opened the elementary workbook that a family friend (senior at UIUC) lent me...::
OMG, going to be so screwed......
Spanish all over again.
Fuck, enough panicking now. I _will_ do well in Japanese, damnit. Must go make flashcards now and memorize the hiragana (or whatever that stuff on the page labeled "Japanese Syllabary" is).
I should find a different workbook too... This one has Japanese on one page, then the romanization on the next, as well as the translation. And it uses "a slightly modified version of the Hepburn system", which looks slightly different from what I've seen online and stuff, in terms of pronouncing things...
Or maybe it's just me.
