Got my roommate assignment... someone who lives in AZ. No e-mail, alas, so I'll _have_ to use the phone. ::groans:: 'cause it isn't on thefacebook, and the only trace of him online is an online newspaper... he's listed with "NHS • football • Eagle Scout • AP calculus • plans to attend college" and went to "palo verde high magnet school".

Should umm.. sit down and figure out what I'll say when I call... unless he calls first.

::crosses his fingers and prays that his roommate will try to search for him using the internet first, and contact him online, so he won't have to use the phone and sound strange and awkward::

I know how that feels, but trust me...you want to do this ASAP. I found out my "roomie" is actually going to West Point so I have no roommate right now so...I kind of lost my train of thought there. If I can do it, you can do it. (Keep in mind that you may have already done it at this point because I'm reading this several days late, but I'm posting this in case...and of course you'd know if you'd done it....)

Mmm, lucky. But my roommate is still coming to UIUC, so alas, I won't be alone in my own room.
