Invites will no longer be given out.

There will be no exceptions, unless you're a friend I see everyday.

Why? A new rule has been put into place today, 8/18/2006.
Since we catch so many people trying to cheat their ratio every day (every single one gets banned, without exception), we will now be taking firmer action against the inviter. If you invite someone who tries to cheat their share ratio, you will lose any invites you have left and the ability to receive more.

Don't ask. You won't get an invite from me. I'm sorry.

Oh, and don't bother commenting. I've disabled e-mails for this comment, and I never check my previously posted entries for new comments. And don't comment on another entry. I will ignore you.

Uhhhh.... Oh. Huh, ok, so not all colleges provide student e-mails. Didn't know that, but... meh, Whatever... =.= I don't want that many random people begging for invites. Although... mmm, you could always get someone to invite you onto facebook... although you'd have to pretend to be in high school again.............

And I want to make it harder for random people to just get an invite, since I don't have several hundred of them, so those who actually would _use_ one, get one.

:: sighs again:: lemme try this again, now that I've ranted about life and had a chance to sit and watch random anime for a bit. Are you accusing me of being elitist-ly discriminatory because you think I'm requiring people to be students of universities and colleges? Although, I guess, it might seem that way, since I've only given examples of how someone as a student could come and get an invitation... hrm, I should change that, I guess. I'm sorry. I really wasn't trying to be discriminatory, although, with the current ways of identifying oneself online as who you really are... there's not that many choices.

(And I didn't mean that you wanted anything to do with facebook - I only brought it up, since you mentioned not having any connection to facebook in your first comment.)

Perhaps not elitist then but certainly enjoying the Master and Servant relationship with folk who are just trying to download some music and having to go through this utterly ridiculous rigmarol of pleeding/begging.

I would rather shoot myself in the face than pleed, beg or Kow-Tow or kurtsy to someone enjoying the power to accept or decline people who just want to try and be part of a file sharing community, or who want to download a few albums that have vanished from their collection without rhyme nor reason.

Oink me is awesome but being so impenetrably elitist is utterly shocking and smacks of some totalitarion (extreme I know) militant obey or die and never return utter bollox.

Oh and someone who watches anime at such length can be deemed completely base... and thus a moron. I bet u are getting hasteled over these, but I could really do with an invite if you have one spare? Im a design student from the UK and I just had my hard drive F up and loose all my music! Im in the processs of reripping all my CDs in 320kbps mp3 with all the correct tags and artwork. Good reason to finally sort it out. Trouble is, some of my CDs are scratched to bits, so Im looking to download them, and upload some of my new rips in return.
I work on the college magazine, so I get loads of promo cds each week, and can upload them too.

Hi, I am a student at Leeds University (UK).I'd like to think i'm not a moron, but there could be reasonable doubt. For the record, i have no connection to any law enforcement agency or anything like that. I'm just a run of the mill music fan. I have a weekly show on our local radio station, which broadcasts to the entire city at certain times of year, and i'm always keen to hear and play new music. My current option is carting a portable HD to friends houses for trades and CDs from local bands, but this is getting abit stale. Leeds is a brilliant city for new music, with Sheffield being the centre of the "New Yorkshire" music scene.
I think i could hear great new music and provide others the same opportunity.
I've heard great things about Oink and would love to give it a go.

I'm a student at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts (US). I have no relation to any legal companies, I discovered oink.me a few weeks ago and have been searching non-stop for an invite with no luck. It is very hard to find a trusting inviter who doesn't believe that you just want to ruin their account by just leeching, however I am an avid seeder. I have an account on demonoid with about a 6:1 seeding:download ratio and can provide a screen shot when the site comes back up if needed :D

Hi,

I would really appreciate an invite to OiNK. I was a member at one point, then i went abroad to work for a few months. When i came home, and dusted off my PC, my account had been closed due to inactivity... i cried hard that night!

Well anyway, i have 250gigs+ of media to share with the world and a 10mb connection which is left on 98% of the time. I keep very good ratio's, i give more than i receive.
