[edit] Looks like Brad fixed it? I was testing for http://community.livejournal.com/lj_support/623509.html

Right now, if you're on some Unicode-enabled system (erm, Safari is good), and you don't see anything between the dots above? Copy and paste that to where URLs should go, then hit enter. Or move through it with the arrow keys. You'll notice (at least on Safari) that there's an extra character between the dots. This caused livejournal to return a "bad unicode" error when you tried to post something like it.

I don't know if the bug still exists, or if it's been patched (unlikely?) or maybe I'm just not getting it right and triggering it correctly. Phoo.

Trying to trigger this: http://community.livejournal.com/lj_support/623509.html

I got it a few times, but I can't seem to get it consistently, which is annoying the heck out of me.

If we're looking for one of those box things between the two periods, I'm seeing it in Firefox.

Mmm, yeah, apparently they're "control characters" which shouldn't be showing up for most fonts. Box's are just used to show that there's a character there... which.. should happen in Safari, but someone messed up somewhere... somehow. I dunnoses~
