Ow, 8+ miles there and back...
Nov. 11th, 2006 05:19 pmBiked down south to Curtis Orchards today, to pick up "the best donuts". Apple donuts.
Took me, I think, around a hour there and an hour back. Probably not going to go anytime soon in the near future. Eeesh. Still, took different routes there and back, so yeah. I really need to make a map of where I've been.
Windsor bike+sidewalk rocks so much. That was the smoothest ride in a while, especially for that length.
Now to have a donut, and then hit AACC for free noodles.

Date: 2006-11-12 01:07 am (UTC)Wonder if they make real cider as well.. the usual commercial stuff like Strongbow or Woodchuck's drinkable, but fairly unspectacular, especially compared to something like Weston's Scrumpy, which foregoes the usual carbonation, leaving the drink flat, slightly cloudy, and thoroughly delicious. (And potent =:)
Free noodles! But are they good? (Not that "free" doesn't inherently infer at least some degree of "good", although that can easily be cancelled out)

Date: 2006-11-12 01:47 am (UTC)Yep, they had cider. You can pick apples there - they're an actual orchard.
Actually, it was surprisingly good - despite being student-made. Apparently, boil beef, garlic and ginger, lightly cook onions, tomatoes, then dump onions and tomatoes into the soup of beef and garlic, let simmer for 2.5 hours, and then serve with noodles?
