Yuuurgh. Terry Brooks is almost as bad as Terry Goodkind. Why couldn't they have gone with something that doesn't suck? :(

Hey, I liked the first Sword of Truth book. The rest have been going downhill from there, but eh...

The thing is, I don't really like "message" fantasy, and the Terry Brooks books are way more pushy about their Objectivism than, say, CS Lewis is with Christianity. I mean, Faith of the Fallen essentially reads like a medieval Atlas Shruggged. *shudders*

Ah, yeah, see, I'm rather oblivious to messages, so I never really got the "pushy" feel from stuff... Except from some real christian fantasy that's labeled as such.
