Aww man...
Jul. 7th, 2004 03:16 pmBakuretsu Tenshi Licensed
7/5/2004
The other day Bakuten licensing was picked up by the flying monkeys from the planet Funimation. Since bakuten is now licensed in the US and according to our policies we have now dropped Bakuten as a project. We have picked up a few new surprises for you so stick around for many new releases coming out soon.
-Lunaar Anime
And...
ADV = evil. They were the ones behind the shutting down of anime.mircx.com... and now apparently they're the cause of www.boxtorrents.net's shutdown as well.

Is there a Grand List of all the AX announcements? AoD only seem to present their info in four thousand mini reports. Though I did plough through a lot of them the other night, and noticed Jubei 2's been picked up, as has - finally! Guu! Now there's a title I'd love to see on TV.. especially terrestrial, not some cable/satellite-only affair. But, in the US and the UK, the terrestrials seem to be exclusively trying to compete on ratings; in the UK, the only exception seems to be BBC Two, but I don't believe they've shown any anime in years.
Oh, I think I also saw Kurau in one of those lists.

Kurau... damn. I hope some less ethical group will pick it up and continue to fansub it. I should start finding raw sources... there isn't a problem with raw episodes, is there? Since it's essentially like watching it on TV and taping it and sending it to your friends? Oooh, nevermind, I guess that's semi-problematic as well... maybe worse than fansubs, since fansubs could be argued to be a work of creativity (creative intent?)?
