[Poll #1011445]

---
My main reasons why? It's absurdly hot and humid in the Maryland/D.C. area right now, and I think the less layers of insulation I have, the cooler I might be.

Oh, anyone have any recommended home waxing products? I suppose I could use candles (huh, BDSM much? o.O), but the hair waxing stuff seems to contain other stuff. Like sugar. At least from whatever research I did on hair removal some time ago.

Hm, and I will probably need anti-ingrown hair stuff as well. ::makes a face::

My hair grows absurdly fast though. XP And I'd rather not have to spend excessive additional time per day shaving my legs.

Nair, which makes the hair fall out, smells like rotten watermelons and gave me a sinus infection the one time I tried it, but it works.

Huh, you sure it makes hair fall out? 'cause I would have sworn it dissolved my hair (up until the skin) the one time I did try it.

*shrug* It didn't dissolve mine when I tried it, but that was probably five or six years ago. Maybe they changed the formula since then?

Falling out would be much more preferable to dissolving. 'cause dissolving = using a razor, but with chemicals ( = pretty useless...)

Or there's using tweezers (cheap, but tedious), electrolysis (expensive, uncomfortable), or laser (very expensive, not too uncomfortable). Waxing might be the best compromise, given the budget available - laser treatment can run to a couple hundred dollars per "area", it seems. :-P

I don't really think getting rid of leg hair would make it that much cooler. But if you still want to get rid of it.

-Waxing hurts a lot a lot. But you'll get used to it.
-Nair is suppose to break down the structure of the hair, so for some people it just makes it easier to wipe it off after it's weakened, but for others, it would appear like it's dissolving. Personally for me, it does nothing. Nair only get rid of the hair above the surface of the skin, it doesn't get rid of the hair root at all, so still chance of ingrown hair.
-Plucking would be ridiculously tedious and time consuming.
-Laser/electrolysis is way too expensive and kinda needs more than just one session.

(By the way, this is Michelle from JAC, and no, I'm not stalking you)
