Movie: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Saw this one in the movie theaters. I don't really think it was worth watching. As the girls (Lily and Karen) summed it up: It was all about death.

And... I dunno. It was kinda slow sometimes. Not all that amusing, aside from the guy that gets hit by lightning 7 times. The love was... lacking.

I guess it counts mostly as a "slice of life" sorta thing, but since the slice covered a full lifetime, but half-twisted backwards... well... it wasn't really just a slice.

All in all, not really all that recommended.

[edit] Ok, Rotten Tomatoes has it at 73%. So it's probably ok, I guess. I just didn't like it that much.

I had a feeling that's what it was like after I read the wiki summary of the Fitzgerald short story it was based off of. I don't really want to see it 'cause it seems like something that'll just depress me. It kinda seems like a movie that's based off of a gimmick rather than anything of great substance, but it's up for a bunch of Golden Globes, so I guess it's a shoe in for Oscars and such. =/

I read the entire short story that the movie was based upon....I was not impressed, so I decided not to watch the movie. Fitzgerald could have taken the plot so much further/deeper.
